Keyla is a Counselling Psychologist practicing in Auckland with experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Having trained in South Africa, she completed her registration in New Zealand and has worked in various government settings, education, and wraparound services.
Her main areas of interest include anxiety, managing intense emotions, trauma and post-traumatic stress, child behaviour and development, working with children and young people in state care, as well as adjustment to life changes and life transitions.
Keyla applies evidence-based practices to address a variety of concerns and takes pride in providing a warm and non-judgemental space to help clients explore difficult issues and achieve optimal outcomes.
When she’s out of the office, she fills her cup by spending time in nature, tending to her garden, taking easy walks, and hiking some of New Zealand’s beautiful trails.
